Sophisticated DC/AC power generator
The Debut Carbon – The Original uses a premium Pro-Ject AC motor driven by a precision DC/AC generator. An AC synchronous motor runs at a speed set by the frequency of its power supply, so its accuracy depends on how clean and stable that supply is. Household mains power often isn‘t: voltage and frequency drift, and noise from other appliances can get into the motor.
The generator solves this by converting the DC input into its own clean, precisely controlled AC signal for the motor. The motor runs independently of the quality of your mains supply, with constant speed, very low vibration and quiet operation.

Pre-adjusted premium Pick it S2 MM
The Pick it S2 MM is made by the cartridge specialists at Ortofon and tuned by Pro-Ject‘s own design team. Its special elliptical stylus tip reads the groove precisely, giving detailed sound and a wide, open stereo image.
Ortofon‘s split pole pins provide a flat frequency response that compares with moving coil cartridges. A strong cantilever, the type used in DJ cartridges, makes it robust in everyday use without compromising sound.
